Case Study - Car Park
A prestigious golf and country club resort in one of Singapore's southern islands replaced existing Sodium Lamps with LED flood lights and experienced a range of benefits from doing so.
The Problem
- The resort uses 2 x 800W Sodium Lamps for tunnel illumination.
- High energy consumption and heat output, making it both costly and uncomfortable for resort guests.
- An uneven illumination and very low CRI (Colour Rendering Index) giving the tunnel a dark and dingy look in areas.
The Solution
- 16 x 44W (704W) flood lights which utilise high CRI, mid-power LEDs with colour temperature set at 6500k.
The Benefits
- An immediate energy saving of 896W (56%)
- An even illumination of the tunnel from end to end signficantly improving the look and ambience of the tunnel.
- Maintenance free lighting.
- The elimination of buildup of heat within the tunnel, providing a better environment for resort guests.
- A high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) providing better visibility and comfort for guests.
