Case Study - Outdoor Display Panel

A Global Bank’s outdoor display panel replaced existing fluorescent tube display panel with a LED light for a cool display with better illumination, energy saving, maintenance free.

The Problem
  • The bank uses 6 x 36W (216W) fluorescent tube for panel illumination
  • Very hot atmosphere within the display causing frequent replacement of fluorescent tube and ballast
  • High energy consumption
  • Unstable and inconsistent illumination within the display.
The Solution
  • Fluorescent tubes were replaced with 6 x 15W (90W) LED lights (R84AP-CW), using Samsung mid-power LED with color temperature at 6500k.
The Benefits
  • Heating within the display panel eliminated with the benefits that this provides
  • An immediate energy saving of 126W (58%)
  • An even illumination of the panel throughout the 4 corners, providing a better visual display
